APIRG to Host International Facilitation Training
Training for Change presents "Super-T" in Edmonton June 5-21 2009
As host of this training, APIRG will be making available a number of subsidized registrations to its members. For more information regarding subsidized registrations email Ariel at ariel@apirg.org
Super-T, a 17-day super-training is Training for Change's flagship workshop series, designed for experienced trainers who want to take their work to a new level of creativity, range and effectiveness, as well as new trainers who want to learn basic principles. The series is ideal for a trainer's sabbatical and is very popular with facilitators outside North America. The schedule includes four consecutive workshops with a day's rest in between, sequenced for maximum growth for trainers and facilitators.

Upcoming Workshops:
2008/2009 Workshop Series
APIRG is focusing on offering a workshop & training series to its members this year. These are designed to be especially beneficial to our Working Groups but are open to members who are not part of a group as well. (FYI- if you are an undergrad student who has not opted out of APIRG- you are a member!). If you are not an undergraduate student at the UofA, you can become a Community Member and access our workshop series. Community memberships are available at the APIRG office.
All workshops will run twice a day. There will be a session from noon to 2pm and a second session from 5-7 pm. Workshop locations will be posted as they are confirmed, as will materials provided and materials needed.
There is no cost to register.
Winter Term:
- Volunteer management - Wed Jan 28, noon-2pm and 5-7pm: location TBA
- Organizational Transitions - Wed Feb 25, noon-2pm and 5-7pm: location TBA
- Avoiding Burnout - Wed Mar 11, noon-2pm and 5-7pm: location TBA
- DIY Silkscreening and Logo Production - Wed April 8, noon-2pm and 5-7pm: location TBA
- "Know Your Rights" -TBA
Fall Term:
- Decision making (Consensus with APIRG and Rusty's Rules with SWAG) - Wed Nov 12, 5-8pm: Business 2-9
- Media training - Wed Nov 19, 5-8 pm: HC 2-15
- Creative fundraising - Dec 3, 5-8 pm: BUS 2-9
- Recycled holiday cards - Dec 17, 5-8 pm: APIRG Office

Workshops will not run with less than 5 participants so please register early to avoid disappointment.
